For quite a while, I have documented the demise of some of Lyme's iconic buildings and venues that have been abandoned and basically left to rack and ruin.
The Regent Cinema at the top of Broad St. is one such site and although the parent company promised it would be reinstated following a catastrophic fire in 2016, this amazing Art Deco building is still in a state of ruin and it now appears that it will ever become a cinema again.
