On the rare occasion when a classic American car turns up, there is always an element of intrigue and nostalgia.

Even people that have no direct interest in cars are somehow drawn to something out of the norm - even with our current awareness (whether admitted or not) of climate change and the gradual demise of older vehicles that clash with what we should believe.

This cherished 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS was parked outside one of Lyme's oldest hotels, which complimented the overall scene. Almost everyone that passed it, both young and old, took a long look at it - not for its misplacement in today's society, but with a recognition of something that is waning and slowly disappearing from our current lives.
