The Spittles is an area of coastal cliff, situated between Lyme Regis to the west and Charmouth to the east. It forms part of the Jurassic Coast, an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The cliff contains layers of Blue Lias and clay and as with much of this coastline, it is prone to landslips. The area is a natural haven for wildlife due to its inaccessibility and supports a diverse flora and fauna.
